Sexismo da vírgula

Quem leu o artigo A importância da vírgula viu que a vírgula pode alterar o sentido de uma frase e, por isso, todo cuidado é pouco ao empregá-la. Em textos jurídicos, por exemplo, a vírgula pode favorecer uma parte ou outra, dependendo de onde for colocada.
A frase “Se o homem soubesse o valor que tem a mulher ficaria de joelhos à sua frente”, sem o emprego de vírgula, está incorreta. Para corrigí-la, uma vírgula deve ser colocada em um de dois lugares diferentes. No primeiro lugar, a frase fica machista, e no segundo, feminista.

A lot has been said about the new rules to Portuguese spelling after the approval of the Orthographic Agreement of 1990. Pals, these changes are actually minor compared to those the English language would have go through in case of a spelling reform.
I’ve always cited Ghoti to support the need of a reform, but that has become a piece of cake since I came across ghoughpteighbteau and saw Ed Rondthaler’s bright video called Dumb English Spelling, which you must see for yourself.
